Country cats are awesome. Buster caught this field rat and started eating it. Then the dogs started to get near him like vultures to a kill. Buster defended his ground. #grownostr #catstr #countrylife #homesteading

Reminds me of when my little black cat found a mouse in the apartment and kept carrying it around the apartment in her mouth, then dropping it and letting it go on purpose just so it could chase it again 😂

My barn cat had a mouse he was eating the other day. I took it away from him a few times and he fished it back out so I let him have at it. It was like watching a cat on the Serengeti seeing him eat that. Bones crunching, selecting certain parts. I walked by later & saw nothing but an intestinal tract left behind.
Nature is awesome
Yeah they seem to enjoy eating those rodents. Buster eats the head first, and only the guts are left when he's done.
