.. and usage.
It’s a super important exercise. I do it every few years and every single time I’m surprised.
Today I ordered a toast with egg as a quick snack. I calculated it had around 700 calories. 😲
A few weeks ago my wife ordered a pancake with peanut butter. We took out the peanut butter and weighted it. Literally over 100g, so north of 600 calories just in peanut butter.
Crazy.
Take it from an old person who has watched their metabolism shift, and their weight stay pretty constant, for the past 40 years… it’s not rocket science… if you’re gaining fat you don’t want you’re eating more calories than your body needs, if you’re loosing weight you want to keep you’re not getting enough fuel…
As a 40 year old man you are right! I had to change my diet a lot, I became obese quickly as I approached 40.
Food from stores and restaurants are getting sweeter and saltier year by year globally which is super weird regardless of cuisines. If people have actually eaten good things, they would know that the food they get in general was shit.
