If you are talking about it in a inner circle of Bitcoin community, then you could be right (partialy). But we are now talking about global adoption. So, no. I think you misunderstood. Let's be extremely generous & assume 10% of the population is Bitcoin friendly no matter what. There are still not enough hardcore Bitcoiners for us to say "fuck everyone who doesn't get it" without there being a serious chance of 90% of the population turning on us completely. CBDCs allow authoritarians to potentially turn everyone against us with financial rewards & punishments. But if only 10% wind up trapped by CBDCs because 80% started using tether tokens on LN to make micropayments & to connect their siloed services (venmo to cash app, etc) then that's a better future for us & the door to bitcoin adoption remains open for most of the normie 90%.
