I often hesitate whether to write in English or Czech. Would it make sense that some relays would only share notes in a particular language?

And then, for example, if @giacomozucco writes something, I would only read his English posts and ignore the Italian ones. 🤔

Or is it better to auto-translate it? Different language often means different context.

This all could be resolved just on client layer.

Could is a keyword. I can imagine specialized relays. Actually, something like a read only relay makes it a blog service

I believe that relays like these already works. For example mostr.pub, which mirrors fediverse accounts to Nostr.

right. And you could also create paywalls this way ... not sure if there is a nip for that.

I think it doesnt require nip. You simply allow connection after the payment. Nostr.wine relay is already paid.
