Have been wondering about this for a while.

When quantum computing becomes a thing, satoshi's coins and any other lost coins not moved to quantum wallets should be hackable and become available again, right?

Maybe. But if or when that happens more coins for us but mist important bitcoin developers will move over to sha-512 algorithm or something similar and we will be right back to where we started πŸ˜‰

Security & cryptography will advance in tandem with technology breakthroughs.

That same fear can be applied to the banking apps most people have on their phones. Without moving user information into a database protected against quantum attacks both fiat & #btc are screwed.

We will all be poor & broke together

In the event of quantum computing, all wallets that won't move will be up for grabs.

Also, all "private" L1L shirtcoins will become open to read by anyone - this is why privacy on second layers is a much better solution.

There might be much less of "Satoshi's coins" than the majority of people thinks.
