Absolutely. I have been Apple free most of my life. My girlfriend bought me an iPod mini about 20 years ago. Ugh. I forget her name 😂 I have never purchased an Apple device.

There's at least a check to that power in Android by installing apks directly from the dev or using third party app stores like fdroid. No doubt it helps keep them honest.

Most people don’t realize that Google have very similar rules to Apple; they just lack the ability to enforce them very well and don’t seem to care too much about changing it, at least for now.

I was an iPhone when they launched but it was 2014 that made it easy to switch. Fool me once shame on you....
