I still think it's cool that nostr:nprofile1qqsvf646uxlreajhhsv9tms9u6w7nuzeedaqty38z69cpwyhv89ufcqprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm4wfex2mn59en8j6f0qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnswf5k6ctv9ehx2ap0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7snuh0e keeps an eye on what people are saying about his company. He doesn't need to literally respond to every @ for that to be cool. That isn't the point. The point is that he cares enough to actually walk around where his customers hang out. Frankly, I haven't had a good customer service experience in years. So just doing things the same way as all the other big boys may not be the best approach either.

Of course he should have a great support team, and I think he does. He probably shouldn't spend the bulk of his time responding to support complaints on social (maybe pay someone else to - still cool). But if he's already trolling around and sees someone talking about his company failing to grow, I dig it. I appreciate that he pays attention to those who fall through the gaps and works to make it even better to prevent future gaps.

That's what I find cool and it's why I use Strike. I have tried using several of his competitors and landed on Strike because he was actually willing to listen and give me what I asked for. He's obviously doing something right if I stopped looking for a solution in a sea of poor ones.

Just my anecdote.

My anecdote, and many others, is arbitrary KYC fails with no recourse even when using data that passed KYC at other places.

This seems to be an issue for the industry. Sounds legal?

Either way, it's ridiculous. If they can fix it, they should. But I've worked in industries where there are similar policies against approaching the line of coaching people around compliance. Dumb, but it wasn't our choice. Maybe it's a similar issue?

Maybe. They also said they "cannot reverse it", which strikes me as a little serious.

Does that mean that even if I were to adjust my application they can just never accept it in perpetuity?

I wonder if it's automated? They should definitely address that problem area. That's really why I tagged him because I suspected this is a broad issue. I've experienced it with other services and it sucks ass. Definitely something that can be improved.

They don't want to tell us the rules because if we are identity thieves it makes our job easier. That is why if you get blocked it is a brick wall of "it will not be possible to create an account at this time."

From what little I can gather I think if you use an email alias or protonmail you get blocked. They flag your entire identity when you fail so you cannot go back and try again with an OG gmail or some other standard email and get approved.

I do not know if there is a timeout where you can get an account later or how long that timeout would be.

I do know that even if jack showed up in the thread guaranteeing me an account, I care more about not doxxing this nym than getting a strike account.
