Automatic withdrawal would be a nice convenience, but honestly, lightning is so quick and convenient, it doesn’t seem like a big deal ⚡️
Read the above again, it's not about quickness it's about cognitive load.
Why should I have to do something manually if it can be automated?
i think most people are uncomfortable with the idea of a wallet doing anything “automatically “ with them at least confirming it
I don't believe that for a second.
It's a very common service, even in traditional banking. Why shouldn't I trust my lightning wallet to send 5 bucks a day to another lightning wallet I control?
sure, it’s common in traditional banking because that system is built on trust and there is customer service to undo fuck ups.
fwiw, i don’t think it’s a bad idea. but i think people are (understandably) hesitant at the idea of their wallet automatically initiating transactions without them confirming it
Podcasting 2.0 and automatic zaps already exist.
There are some sweeping extensions on @lnbits that do some of this.

Hey Gigi! LNbits has the scrub extension but when I tried searching for it I saw you already posted an issue in github. Seems its not really working yet. Would be a great uncle Jim feature, especially combined with submarine swaps for cold storage
