I believe I read once about how much excess heat there is from plowed farm ground left fallow over winter because the soil reflects and/or radiates solar energy, while any duff or dead plant material absorbs/deflects it, and any photosynthesis happening actually has a cooling effect. Add that to the urban heat island effects. But let's just eat factory farmed bugs, use public transit, and live in small sq ft high density housing. That will solve everything.
