Everyone has their own 'demons' to fight and it's a unique and personal path. As for myself I started drinking alcohol around age 13 and regularly drank all of my life. Sometimes it's was too excessive, but I would not have considered myself an alcoholic. I hit 50 years of age (six years ago) and quit alcohol,cold turkey. I have not touched one single drop since and my life has never been better. I highly recommend it.

In digesting hundreds of hours of health-related content. They all correlate to eating more meat and animal products. From carbolates to oxolates. You don't find a lot of the things that result in weird issues in your body in many or at least in any excess quantity.

Use Keto as a tool in your toolkit if you need to start resetting things or your blood sugar starts creeping. You can use it as well for burning fat or showing muscle tone.

You'll find when you make a daily food journal and that you will often rely on animal products to maintain a 50 carbohydrate or less number.

The body is fascinating, and if taking care of can heal well. Sign up or subscribe to a lab company that gets you multiple labs a year. Make sure you get a very comprehensive panel. Do a little research. Watch those numbers every now and again. You may need to drink more water, you may need to fast at a certain time. You may need to adjust your diet due to an intolerance you may or may not have.

If you really want to dive deep on the religious and psychological significance of sacrifice, I highly recommend Rene Girard’s work on the scapegoat mechanism. His book “I Saw Satan Fall Like Lightning” is a very accessible entry point to his work. It’s a fascinating book. Girard was a renowned academic, member of the French Academy, and a faculty member at Stanford University.

I was reading Leviticus 1 tonight. It describes the burnt offerings given at the Tabernacle. It talks of killing the animals, skinning them, draining the blood and pouring it on and around the altar. It talks about burning the entrails and dumping the craw and feathers of birds to the east of the altar.

As I was reading this, I was thinking about how it must start to stink after a day of baking in the sun and much worse if they stay in the same location for a while. Then I noticed, at the end of the description of the burnt offering for each type of animal, it says, “an offering by fire as a soothing aroma to the Lord.”

That does not sound like a “soothing aroma.” That isn’t how I would describe it, but God sees things differently than we do. We see the outside and the physical. God sees the heart of sacrifice of those who love, obey, and trust Him. I think it is really the sacrificial heart that is the real “soothing aroma.”

I knew about live staking trees but never gave it much thought until nostr:npub1ec7rqh20d00pqc9uxxf7ruv0xcvah0vexzpd5kpcl46yj84pme4suggn5k commented on one of my posts awhile back when I was propagating hybrid willow cuttings. I thought the climate I’m in would be too hot and too dry to have any success if I wasn’t tending to them daily.

Well, March 4 I cut this branch off of a weeping willow growing on the creek bank and shoved it in the ground. I’ve splashed some water around it maybe once or twice a week when taking fresh water to my sheep. 3 months later its a thriving little tree.
