This was at my back door late last night.

It's one of our more beautiful snakes.

It's called a bandy-bandy or hoop snake & they pretty much only eat blind snakes (which I've never personally seen).

Venemous but you'd have to be pretty unlucky to get bitten.

What a cool snake. There's a coral snake in Texas that looks similar, but it's more colorful. Also very venemous, but not aggressive.

Yeah pretty cool snake!

I think it only moves like that in bursts. It wasn't a fast moving snake otherwise. Quite docile.

Leave the snake alone!!
