Do you create you own designs or are there templates?
Are there known upper limits to sizes of individual glass pieces that can be connected, or do you discover this through trial and error?
I create my own designs based on what I feel when a client sends me their home interior
There are millions of templates on the internet however, as this craft has existed for hundreds of years
The limits would be how large of a panel you can find online or what your supplier has
But the larger the glass pieces the less stable the structure, so you’d need to ensure there’s strong structural integrity if you have large panels
I feel like a stained glass window would be the highlight of a home.
I really enjoyed that. Thanks!
And excellent work right there. It is magical
Thank you! ☺️
Looks really nice! Isn’t that technique called Tiffany-Glass?
There was a workshop kinda garage space in the same street where I grew up, and sometimes I would see through the windows that they were making glass lampshades. Very impressive 💜
I've heard you can cut glass pretty effectively under water, do you ever use that technique?
Hm, I’ve never heard that before! I know if you grind glass, you want that to be under running water!
But cutting is already a pretty smooth process since you add oil into your glass cutter which disperses a little on each cut
I saw some demonstrations where they were able to use scissors on the glass under water. Something about the water prevents the glass from shattering probably interfering with its resonance or some physics shit, very intresting though. I love your work brother
Interesting , I’ll have to look into that! And thanks man, much appreciated
