“Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about it.” - John Lennon

“I am the walrus.”

It’s scary how true this still feels today.

It’s insane if you think about it but it’s just fine if you don’t. 🤭

Sad but true

Real. Es así pero venceremos, muchos creen que nosotros somos los locos

That checks out Fren and I'm not a big Lennon/Beatles supporter

“Insane” has been completely desensitized. Which is a problem given we need it to have the gravity it should have again otherwise we can’t agree on insanity that we see every day.

When Lennon said this, the political parties had polar opposite agendas than they do today.

A request for confirmation from a crowd for a statement like “things change right?” would be met with a universal nod and even with incredulous facial expressions that you’d even ask something so obvious.

Cheap audience building parlor tricks to get everyone engaged.

But when the question of “things change right? Even political agendas?” applies to an ideology grown from groupthinkers, acknowledging that a political ideology could change is an impossible endeavor.

Such an impossible endeavor that the lengths people will go to defend their previous thinking will have them ignoring common sense but seeking groupthink strength. Insane behavior is all we can expect from someone who can not acknowledge universal laws and rules.

Empiricism and objectivity cannot apply to their personal feelings. So therefore we must change our position on how empiricism and objectivity works.

That’s an insane expectation.

The simple thought of just changing your mind because things change is processed the same way a knife attack is processed when discussing ideologies.

An existential threat to life is what is happening for the insane who cannot change their mind.

That’s one observable heuristic you can test to affirm a source of insanity. Ask someone if things change and then ask them if political parties can change objectives over 60 years.

Then ask what they’ve changed their mind on as it relates to their political affiliation.

It’s ok to label fundamentally incurious people as highly correlated with insane reactions.

Objectivity is gone for whatever reason and so insanity is all you’re left with for those that ignore reality.

Help I need somebody, help, not just anybody, help , you know I need someone (Bitcoiners) 👊🏻👊🏻🤣

bro, that’s Ringo.

Nice try irs

If you look closer into it, Lennon’s death is more suspicious than what they tell you. I think he may have been close to the truth about these “maniacs” and who they were, and had to be subdued…

John would likely be calling Trump “Hitler” though so not sure what to make of his views.

That is overstatement tbh. I think policy makers are quite sane and smart about what they do and why they do it.

Writing about insanity is naive!
