While it's doing undeniably impressive numbers, I do wonder how many of those 64 million views were actually watchers, and not just people scrolling through their feed and catching 3 seconds on autoplay.

I'd bet the actual viewership is closer to 5-10 million, which is still really impressive.

This is the metric they say they go by:

Video views: A "video view" is when your video is watched in 50% view for 2 seconds or more, or when someone clicks to expand/unmute your video.

Viewership might be inflated but that makes it all the more fun for the legacy media to react to.
