The idea of an ecash credit card that you can just swipe and pay with is very tantalizing.

The only real problem? A savvy merchant could record all your unspent secrets and spend them later if you forget to swap them back.

Not anything a grocery store or anyone that wants to maintain their reputation would do.

here comes the insurance

Agreed, it's fascinating. A user's phone could be used to regularly top up the card.

I don’t understand, I you pay with the tokens, they are theirs to spend whenever they wish to

can't you just tap and pay with normal credit cards?

Yes but they work differently. A cashu card would hold the money, while normal cards do not.

How do u know which merchant was robbing u?

Better than having your credit card stolen, though.

very true but also goes against #bitcoin nature of not trusting and verifying.

"trust us bro" is very much a fiat thing
