This should NOT be a thing. Zaps have to be conscious decisions to tap and exert effort to show appreciation for a note. A bot does none of those things and only degrades the experience

What's the goal behind these bots? I got that the @semisol one was to get us all started, but who's doing this @love one and why?

The @love one sends me randomly 21 Sats. Think is keyword based, but hard to tell.
While I agree with you, or better said I ⚡ with the same vision and purpose, I think everyone stands free to⚡ the way he wants. ✌️
Of course I can’t stop it and you do as you want, I’m just saying this will harm zapping.
What I'm having trouble understanding is why you think it will it hurt⚡ purpose.
If anything I just see it as a random thing that may or may not last but I don't ever see it preventing me from enjoying a real appreciation zap I'll get.

Because it’s mindless and doesn’t show anyone has actually cared for what you had to say. It normalized noise and mediocrity and conditions to think tiny automated zaps are enough to reward good signal. Not to mention incentivized most posting without concern for quality.
Idk maybe I don't get as much of these automated ⚡ as you do. I don't have that much noise, it happens sometimes but I still can spot the difference between those and real recognition ⚡, for now at least.

Spam bots that pay you are big detractors. You are spot on.
