I am going to the Bitcoin 2023 Conference next week. Just went through the agenda. 2 things stood out.
1. There is only ONE nostr session.
2. The number of $10,499 Whale-Pass-only sessions is very high, making the conference feel very have/have-not and extremely Un-Nostrica Un-UnConference-like.
The theme skewed very 'investor' with only passing interest in societal good. We are all definitely NOT in this altogether. Very different than 2 years ago.
I will NOT be attending in 2024.
What do you think about Pacific Bitcoin? Is it more accessible to plebs? Better signal to noise ratio?
As someone that will be moderating the Nostr session you mention - I understand organization... there is huge demand for time on the stage.
And #nostrica changed the game... created more demand for Nostr content!
