It is not enforcing multiracionalism. The USA is a multiracial society. And DEI is a tool to give more equality between people with different ethnic roots.
And how we as a society organize ourselves is an active decision. It is not enforced by anyone else but the sum of the individual desires how society works.

I think this is true for a place where no forced exclusion is taking place. But for example woman have been forcefully excluded for a long time from politics and work.
So since this is our history we need corrections and may it can be good to force some woman in positions of power and leadership of stock companies. And once there are several positions with woman in place one can say that the game is fair. Since there are woman to support woman as there aee man to support man. And both can see the qualities the other gender brings to the game.
