Adoption.
To contribute my 'substance' to the creating of a precious human life, without then taking responsibility for his care and cultivation, would feel--to me--incredibly irresponsible. I would feel derelict in my duties.
This is my issue in my head - I don’t want another man’s “substance” making a kid inside my wife…
Adoption is also very risky from where I am and I’m not a whale with 2000BTC to do it internationally…

Why not considering moving to another country and try adoption there? You could help many poor people.
Not an excuse but just how it is.. financially and passport wise I can’t really move anywhere without great financial ability…
I understand. It's a tough decision. You need to think carefully about it and discuss it with your wife. I kinda sense that you wouldnt really be sure about a donation, since you ask here the nostr community.
Anyway the child should not suffer from your decisions or mind changes later on and deserves to grow up in a stable family.
Have you considered about taking care of foster kids with an option for adoption?

Extremely fine line here where I live… majority of kids adopted from here go to Europe and the West..
I earn in a 3rd world currency so it gets hammered by the USD…

The pros and cons are personal and circumstantial for the process your family would have to go through with adoption or sperm donor. I don't think anyone's opinions matter but yours and your wifes. Give yourself time to figure it out and submit it to God and he will direct you in the way you should go.
