But really I mean why is this aesthetic chosen/perpetuated for these events? I mean it's obvious really, you have businesses like bitcoin magazine making these decisions. However even as businesses they are making awful choices really. The 'influencer aestthetic' even within the world of marketing is seen as antiquated and 'cringe'. So I'm saying they are even failing at the stupid game which I don't even like lol. Again yes, talking about #miami

(I think nostr culture on the other hand needs more nutjob shitposters tho lol)

But I think nostr:npub1a6k75m9m2qv2ry8sz9u90hj38np8r5jvj374dnvzc49xke9wg7jqhnmu4x is right, it is trade show bullshit, and it is low effort really cos it's not for public consumption.

Although the careers of these influencers are reinforced here and they do go on to kind of be the 'public face' of something that by design has no public face. And if my only exposure to bitcoin was through these people I would have absolutely nothing to do with it.

Another reason to add why to be hush hush about bitcoin tho. So actually maybe inadvertently a good thing for security(?) Lol

I haven't watched anything from Miami because I know it would drive me nuts. I saw a clip of some news desk type thing and it was super cringe.

I'm always watchful for people/businesses that are only interested in self promotion. From what I've seen and heard from Bitcoin Magazine in the last year, I think they have become less interested in the future success of Bitcoin and more interested in the future success of themselves, and that made me lose trust in them (not that I had much to begin with). As the organizers of the event that attitude will permeate through everything. I mean they are trying to sell copies of their magazine for as much as $2,100! I wouldn't be surprised if they were all on board for the ordinals crap that's happening right now.

Yeah I just saw a brief segment from one awful people talking about socialmedia or something. And that was more than enough. I've seen bits and bobs in the past. Literally barely any point watching 99% of it. V sensible lol.
