How are they lost forever? Aren’t they just at some BTC address no one knows or has lost the keys to? They still exist, right? Aren’t they technically inaccessible? Asking in all seriousness and for clarity. nostr:note1tf9phvnw93q0v0gpxs6ugypu3l9ukp0flj2xa8fz3l3kdt72p2hse08eyk

existence is and always will be a troublesome topic for humans. bitcoin or ourselves.

They will be unlocked in the future. We will all be dead when quantum computer hacks the network and then they will all be released and the new network will have an algorithm that fights quantum

We are no where near this though like i said we will all be dead

I was not trying to be philosophical. My question is more that what is lost could potentially one day be accessed right? Keys could be rediscovered, coins could be accessed? Beyond quantum breaking the algos.

Ahhh i say the lost forever if nothing hacks btc in the future. Or you can pay someone to start putting in words hahahahaa

That's how German minister of economy talks "Companies are not bankrupt, they just don't produce anymore".

Individually it does not matter if keys are lost or BTC are send to a wrong address. In both cases they are lost for the individual. But the BTC are of course still in the network and not exactly "lost". They are not accessible. Correct.
