I've been using Davinci Resolve for almost a year now... and it was 5 minutes ago that I discovered you could click on & delete gaps in the timeline so everything snaps together... 🤯🤦🏻‍♂️

U like davinci better than Final Cut Pro? Thinking of experimenting with it.
It’s so much better. Always has been.
I still like some things about Final Cut, but Davinci is far more powerful.
In particular, I love the Fusion node system. It’s the most intuitive UI for VFX I’ve ever used and after a couple of months I was way more comfortable with it than I was after more than a year worth After effects.
If it weren’t for having to constantly change my workflow, I’d probably still use Final Cut for simpler projects, it’s faster if you don’t want to do anything really complex. However, it increasingly feels like “iMovie Pro” and less like a serious video editing suite, especially comparing to Davinci.
Yeah going to look into this more. Maybe time for change.
Just switched from Premiere to Resolve myself. Finding it overall less smooth and more jerky/glitchy when scrubbing timeline compared to premiere.
I follow @todayyearsoldig on Xitter and the number of basic things I have learned on there is incredible. So much time wasted doing things the wrong way or little hacks to do things more efficiently - would love something similar for software!
I have been trying to learn it and experiment.
