Are you even being objective anymore if you're using "no true Scotsman" type purity tests?

Yes I’ve listened to both sides and it’s really simple to explain what’s happening.
Core is taking away node runner settings.
Full stop. 🛑
That is the net result.
If you update core, you will have less control over your node and its mempool.
Core is effectively telling your node what it can and can’t do.
If it’s not a consensus rule it’s a preference.
Wowwwwwwww. 😡
Ok I get what you're saying. Let's say Core kept the filter configurable and instead campaigned for people to voluntarily remove the filter limits. Are people that choose to remove their filters still not Bitcoiners?
If he wants to respond to this today, I’m gonna need to see a 10,000 sat zap from him 😂
So if they left the setting but changed the default to unlimited would you untwist your panties?
I wouldn’t have switched to knots if they kept it up to the individual node runners.
I think leaving the setting but changing the default was the best way to handle it. I think unlimited is the correct way to run it unless you have a very good reason I haven't been able to think of.
I'm not switching over a setting I don't want to a version of core that is run by Mr beg poverty please donate to me then lose 100+ whole coins from a hacked hot wallet though.
I'm told libre already has the default unlimited. I wonder if they are going to keep the setting.
