Is source viewable really something to be ultra concerned about?

When it comes to your life savings? What kind of question is that?

Crypto in your name. Questions ignored

Not from a security POV, no.

I want to reward the open source companies penalize everything else for #Bitcoin's sake.

Security is what I was thinking of, but makes sense

Coldcard is very popular and Coinkite has been iterating on the hardware and firmware for a long time; if it was open source I would use it.

Lol when ledger sends your private keys to third parties? That's not a concern for privacy?

Personally not for me, but you do you 🤣

Concerned in what sense?

Security

No, as Laser pointed out.

Like with any other software you install you ideally want to check the binaries, but otherwise anyone can see, download, reproduce, or change Coldcard’s firmware (as long as you’re not commercializing it) so you don’t have to trust them.
