Would anyone paying with their credit card find acceptable that merchants can access all their transactions history and bank accounts balance? Absolutely not. So why this should be accepted for #Bitcoin?

The narrative that is being pushed by the anti-#crypto army that #blockchain #privacy tech is only used for money-laundering or tax evasion is ridiculous. We need to push back hard on this.

Financial privacy is absolutely normal and shouldn’t be questioned.

Monero is the push. If Bitcoiners cared they would allocate 1% to it for spending.

Monero trades at 0.2% despite having less supply and the same inflation.

So we can conclude that >99% of Bitcoiners don't give a fuck about privacy. Compared to the genetal public you'd expect Bitcoiners to be more aware of the downsides of a digital panopticum.

But at least the general public is aware of the ptivacy benefits of cash. Banks, governments and other surveillance companies did a great job selling little convenience at the cost of losing control and privacy.

> "We"

There is no "we". If you want privacy you'll have to think of practical solutions, because nobody's giving a single f***

I don’t think we should oppose the political approach vs individual pragmatism. They are complementary to each other. Although you certainly can attain a good degree of privacy by using the right tech/tools, it will be easier/safer for you to do so if you live in a society where doing so is legal and values as opposed to illegal and frown upon.
