what is the best desktop client for nostr? im having trouble with primal. I put in my nsec and it still wants me to login and I can't post anything.

I like Coracle.

Trying out Coracle. Seems to be working well. Do you know if there is a way to link my primal lighting wallet so I can zap from it on Coracle?

I don’t believe you can (not a primal user) I think you’d have to link a different lightning wallet.
