But they’re still going to exist, whether as a company or government agency. Some blockchains allow this sort of auditing by design.

If only there were some kind of privacy focussed coin that was (currently) resistant to such auditing... Hmm.
That’s not going to work lol, why do you think “legitimate” exchanges refuse to touch monero at all?
The SEC are currently suing the two largest exchanges. Name a legitimate exchange.
Monero provides real privacy (for now) so the govt is desperate to convince you not to use it.
Probably because they’ve been involved in fraudulent practices for a while now. I’ve been warning about this for some time lol.
Anyway, government isn’t going to allow a currency that allows obfuscation of the source of funds or money laundering. It’s just that simple.
Yep, govt is also anti 3d printed ghost guns and a lot of other things...
I’m not saying I agree with it, I’m just telling you the reality. Government isn’t going away any time soon.
I agree. My point is that if you are involving yourself in anything that is a legal grey area you should treat it as completely illegal and either a) avoid it altogether or b) obfuscate what you're doing as much as possible. Cryptocurrency is a legal grey area as anyone who has tried to get a straight answer out of the SEC will confirm.
If government approval is required for your crypto to exist it is not crypto.

Yes, Monero is delisting all the IOUs held on CEXes. This i great news!
