Who is your favorite Bitcoin dev and why are you not monthly-funding that person?

This note confused me. 😅

I don’t know any Bitcoin devs nor do I know what they do to even have a favorite.

What website reports on these type of things?

I'm thinking of creating a theme page on Nostr, especially writing about key events and key people who contribute to Bitcoin and Nostr.

I have a background in technical writing and computer science so can start this project.

Do you think, this will be helpful?

Probably. Someone will find it valuable. The key is translating Technical to Normie readable.

Agree 💯.

Can you do it like a dating up style? Cards for each person with bio etc. Swipe right to Zap them. Could be fun!:)

Nice idea,

Need to brainstorm on it.

Feel free to shout out if you want some imput

Sure

Github. They have support button, but I prefer sending sats. The automated payments are getting better too, but I'm still having issues.

GitHub is the worst website I have ever visited.

I literally have no idea how any of it works. And I’m not exaggerating.

the worst? oh come on now. im sure there's dozens of airline websites that are ahead of github :)

And you haven't even bothered to mention cruise line websites.

I honestly think it would be easier to learn to code from scratch than to learn how to use that website.

There's a big learning curve and I'm still learning.

known_devs = []

if dev = known_devs.sample

donate_to(dev)

end

Additionally, why are you not funding political non-profits like Satoshi Action Fund who is helping get legislation passed to protect Bitcoin owners and miners?

well that organization has done more harm than good. but I could not fathom donating to this sort of thing in any case.

Please explain

we don’t need state cooperation

You think it hurts Bitcoin to have laws supporting it? I'm not following.

In the real world, the government raises taxes to fund public infrastructure. Pretty genius, huh?

Coerced taxation is theft. Let the market decide how capital is allocated.

And what's your answer for nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z who is begging for donations to devs. Is that your market? A market of beggars.

Here's the list of developers that have directly contributed to bitcoin. It is sorted by the amount of commits. Note that this does not mean they have written the most lines of code or made the biggest contributions perse. It is a good metric though.

nostr:npub1e0z776cpe0gllgktjk54fuzv8pdfxmq6smsmh8xd7t8s7n474n9smk0txy but i'm Monthly funding 7 other humans at the moment so spread a bit thin, but won't always be the case.

Eric Voskuil. He don't need it

Because I can't even afford food, and I'm sure you're doing better than me.
