15 years later and how are you closer? I've budgeted in bitcoin since 2013 so not asking for myself. But having been absent from the online discourse for many years to now arrive here, I can assure you, the convos have devolved not the other way around.

99.999% of people that have it get it by exchanging it for fiat.
So when more are paid in bitcoin that mental connection can be made off how to price every day things in it.

Local Bitcoin, mining, and getting paid for product and services was how onboarding occured for my generation. But it's cute to see things we said in 2011 repeated this many years later though nothing has really changed. (You and I have talked about this years ago.)
It's some ways easier but also quite difficult time getting in to Bitcoin the last few years. You can see the excitement but confusion as there's so much hypocrisy
Well, I blame moon seekers. The pivot point was the arrest of Ross Ulbricht. All the shit can be traced back to then. If I had any doubts about how weak the herd (of bitcoiners) had become at that point, they were dispelled spring of 2016. So, imo, it was over before the majority of people who today own bitcoin has even a satoshi.
