How come 3 years into nostr we don't even have a single shitty Reddit/forum clone?

I never got to understand the low level stuff of "communities" but guys - aren't we overthinking and overengineering this?

I mean Reddit. Forum. Stack overflow. Hacker news. Stacker.news.

A basic title and a markdown body upon opening it. Replies/zaps to those items. We have WoT tools, we have blacklists on relays. What else is possibly needed?

NOT chat or Discord. NOT a feed where main content is listed (what i see on Amethyst/satellite). Totally different UX.

we could just ask stacker news to integrate Nostr.

I think they did already.

SN is a bitcoin forum.

He wants a multiplicity of forums on different subjects all under the same client.

I thought there were a few options out there.

I don't know how to do it but in totally endorse this. Reddit is the only thing I really keep using

I don't know, it's weird. If only current forum clients just use a different random kind than 1... I want to forum post 🫠

100% agree

Let's do it here, now. Forum post kind 838282772

Its called voyage fyi

I just checked the GitHub.

I had the same idea, instead of having r/ subreddits, users would follow hashtags.

I’ll give it a try. Thanks

Link?

Sorry, how is this a Reddit style UX?

If you turn off profiles then hashtags are treated like subreddits.

Thanks. But no, thats why I said content should not be the item - not a chat, not a feed. I personally dislike that UX for a forum feature.

Should be like stacker.news

Also, it should be obvious the client is a forum thing. Voyage is not that

Do you mean like the post is 2 parts? The title and the content? Wouldn't that require a separate kind

Yes, exactly

voyage is great but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have the forum set up option anywhere?

What happens when there are 6 different /r/bitcoin submissions? Which one is the legit one? Most subscribers? Most posts?
