The thing with #value4value is that you do not determine how others value your work; they do. You can only determine the value you’re willing to give. If you are not receiving back the value you expect, then you either need to create something else, or find a new/different audience that does value your current work the way you do.

Also worth noting value comes in INFINITE forms. Some producers may not send money but can create art, jingles or merch, help with tech, tell others about your work, or even provide lodging during travels and become IRL friends. 💜

I think most people who struggle with this don't have a path to "Find a new/different audience" in their minds. There are great, funny, helpful, or philosophical people out there with 12 followers because they only post notes and never find a place to insert their talent into others conversations. Just something to think about. Connections aren't always intuitive.
