It's architectural; you arent going to have 8bln people with their own channels, so youll end up with massive custodial channels.

It will be good to know what LN failed payment rate is n years in, and if galaxy devs can increase, so that comparison can take place visa, or other layer twos etc

Wouldn't know, Bitcoin Cash IS Lightning fast, and just like Colt 45, it works every time.
