FYI, just 12 words isn't enough to backup your node in lightning node. You also need the channel backup files :)

One reason would be that its your private wallet connected to directly the bitcoin full node. Better then a phone hot wallet that connects to some other node I guess...

Thats true, just hope your main stash is on a Hardware wallet 😁 you can also connect your HW to your own node for verification.
