Firearm owners don't go around practising marksmanship willy nilly because the State will bring their attention to you, even if you're safe about it. If you can practice the radio arts without brining attention to yourself, do it. I spent years learning and training to hide signals in the RF environment, it is not easy. Especially if the State is paying attention.
