There are cases where drugs make some sense, but they are the minority.

Those cases are so bad they'll probably die regardless. I'd pull that back a bit to give those cases a better chance earlier, but it's really just duct tape if they won't change anything else.

Yup. Some have said "Id rather a bunch of weak skinny people on drugs than a bunch of morbidly obese" in the context of health risks of obesity. I'm not truly sure what that looks like in the long run.

That's a false dichotomy on their part. We have to address the actual roots of the problem at some point. Obesity isn't the only risk causing factor associated with poor diet and lifestyle either. It's just the most visible from the outside. Drugs won't necessarily fix those issues either. It's all duct tape and I suspect there will be long term effects we can't imagine today. It takes generations to see some outcomes, and by then it could be a much larger crisis. The same is true of drug use in general.

I only support drugs for otherwise hopeless cases. With the understanding that it's just a bandage to get you to your casket a little more comfortably or slowly. But to each their own. I'd never prevent patients and physicians doing what they think is best for them. I just don't want them. I'm choosing a more natural path.

best way to lose weight is to increase the supply of precursors of satiety hormones to the liver. best one i know is stearic acid, best source i know is beef tallow, runner up is cacao butter. this was part of the reason why the south americans called it food of the gods (theobroma).

second most important thing for losing weight is fasting, and a 72 hour fast will reset your metabolism, and easiest way to do one is first to eat a lot of food with stearic acid containing fats. after eating ~400g of beef per day for a few days 24 hour fast is a piece of cake.

72 hours is challenging, but once you do it, you don't really need to do it again for another 6 months, and it will clear up a lot of things.

another element in this is avoiding allergens. the intestines can't digest stuff when your body is full of inflammatory cytokines. the most inflammatory foods are gluten and seed oils, and then after that, any high vegetable protein food.
