Not the be a hater but I paid for the eden relay and it basically never works.
I don't recommend it.

I guess that's the risk of being a first mover. These popular and early paid relays will constantly get more user requests, because everybody wants to join the party.
I was about to pay for milou.lol but didn't because it was down (apparently for the 3rd day today).
Then looked at nostr.wine and that cost 18.8k sats 👀
Single pay relays are a bad business model. As nostr grows and multitudes come on line, subscription relays will be the way.
You‘re right. There will be a subscription model in the future, which is a good business model.
I think it will go this way. But for now one-time-pay will work.
See it as early-adopter bonus. If you subscribe to a relay that will switch to subscription you are on the whitelist 🤷🏼♂️

We need more relay reviews. I would like to point out that orangepill relay always gets removed from iris client after a little while. I don't want to cast shade on either the relay or client because I don't know which is at fault yet.
