A soggy bandaid touched me at the pool. AMA.

How's the aids? 🤣
I still can’t hear.
When I was about 10, I was skateboarding out he front of my house & I picked up a used condom on the nature strip.
When I realised what it was a dropped it instantly.
For years I legit thought I had aids & never told anyone the story because I was embarrassed.
Feels good to finally get it off my chest with a fellow sufferer.

Suffer no longer. Now go wash your hands!
Ew. I'm sorry this happened to you. What is your coping mechanism? 🤮😂
Scrubbing with silver wool.
Blood stain. Was any blood on it?
I froze. Didn’t look. It’s now an experience I’ve blocked from my mind. Currently in the self help section at my local book store.
As a slightly avid swimmer...
I mean, me and the water fight for 45 minutes or an hour, usually, that's maybe not swimming. I don't know what that is, but that's what I do.
Bandaids in the pool are just a thing. They will eventually drift over to those little catcher doohickies on the sides, but that takes a long time and they're going to attach themselves to your heel or something much earlier than that.
And as far as I know, all of the noxious chemicals they put into pool water, mostly chlorine, render them fairly inert.
That doesn't make them any less gross or creepy, though... I feel for you and understand.
That’s a no from me… I hate even the feeling of the pool tiles on my bare feet. Totally heebeejeebee to me.
So much blech!
