People playing with relay incentives seems the most promising.

And I think there’s a lot of opportunity in boosts for true network spread. RT def changed Twitter.

Aa this earlier today:

“Mastodon's decentralized nature raises concerns about the legal risks for users hosting instances, which must comply with copyright and privacy laws globally”

Wack-a-Mole

It def will come up. So maybe that argues for default relay list to be spread in as many different jurisdictions as possible, and not purely on ping times.

Relays on Tor. Like Lightning nodes behind Tor.

Tor is going to need to get faster and more reliable then. It's been unusable for 7 months now. Hopefully Jack's recent round of funding will allow them to hire devs and they can work on their DDoS problem.

I have been saying this for a while Tor is the Achilles heel for Lightning nodes. It has to get better. So everyone should consider supporting tor project.

Tor is my Amazon smile organization

That's a great idea. Man so many great places to donate via smile.

Just tried donating some sats to #Tor via my strike app with no success. Would be a lot easier if they were here on Nostr.

looking forward to seeing how this develops. would be excited to earn sats for hosting data / running a relay

We've been discussing relay incentives and paid relay services. It's something that we'll need to find a happy medium on at some point. Right now it's probably too early and would be a turn off. #[3] have a lot to discuss.

One simple one seems to be image hosting. But obviously has trade offs
