Ask yourself how exactly one would 100% verify that the gold is both there and real solid gold? “Looking at it” or trusting even a honest intermediary is not sufficient. This is in stark contrast to how an even a non-tech simpleton like me can quickly verify that a bitcoin UTXO sent to me is 100% real and spendable.

Or just trust them. Point is that with Bitcoin, you don’t have to trust anyone, you verify easily yourself

I am with you on the Bitcoin argument. But I also see you do care about what is in Fort Knox, fair enough.
