You don’t think Canada is sliding down the socialist funnel? From what I’ve heard the healthcare system is in disarray and the state has far overstepped its bounds with intentions to keep going.
Many Canadians I respect are talking about getting second passports and readying an exit. I’m asking in good faith bc I don’t really know, just what I’ve heard.
But there's nowhere to run, it's bad everywhere.
While Canada is still scarcely populated, it's easier to get away with whatever you wanna do, especially if you're far away from "civilization".
I’m not ready to give up on Canada just yet and I hope like minded people, rather than giving up on it and moving away, will decide to stay and put in the work to make it what we want it to be, lead by example. If we’re outnumbered by socialists or anything else then I guess we’ll have to deal with that but I see normal hard working people everywhere I am and I believe in them. This whole division into us and them camps though is what I am more against than anything. Everyone needs to figure out it takes a village, we’re all in this together, so naturally socialism should form part of the framework but it can’t be everything. People need to be able to be rewarded on the basis of merit also. It’s just a balance that’s a little off base where it should be for best outcomes and remains to be seen which way the pendulum is swinging now, for me, on a national level… that’s about my thoughts on that right now 🍻🫡
