i’m convinced 90% of the most toxic #bitcoin maximalists (especially those in the bluebird app) slinging shade at nic carter/udi/etc lead very small lives, maybe own a million sats, or still live in their mom’s basements (or all three)

That's not true. Udi has a long track record of shilling scams, from Luna to BlockFi and now NFTs to pump and dump. He actively discourages self custody and recommended FTX instead.
There are very good reasons to sling at him. Dancing and wizard costumes are not one of them, that's a distraction from his actual scams.

It takes time and energy to protect your community. Every person who gets scammed by these assholes, may be one more person who may never do the work to understand bitcoin and how it’s different.
I rather spend my time on spreading the education, and not enacting or engaging in the fighting

That’s fine and I agree with. I think it’s important to have people such as yourself. Positivity and education are very important aspects of spreading the importance of bitcoin. I’m a teacher, so I get jt.
However, imo we also need the people who will go toe to toe with the scammers, thieves, and predators. This part of of the process is bloody, dirty, and not for everyone. But it is necessary.

every time I hear anything about Udi I’m reminded of this dr manhattan quote:
“I'm tired of this Earth, these people. I'm tired of being caught in the tangle of their lives”
And there's times where I wish I could be among the first colonists to mars to escape this worlds madness, or maybe that a nuclear apocalypse would be a narratively fitting end.
As far as Udi goes, he has engaged in a lot of terrible behavior, such as encouraging people to lock up bitcoin in ponzi schemes and investment in failed "crypto projects". Far from learning from his mistakes, he abdicated any responsibility to the people he led astray, and has taken to insulting and trolling those maxis who warned him that this would happen.
I'm sure there are a lot of people in maxi culture who have a poor quality of life, positive. The cause of this? Being lied to as kids about college being the end-all be-all, being lied to as society that inflation keeps the economy going, being lied to by the TV that you should use the stock market as a savings account. As a result of these and more, crypto scams too, the wealth of nations has been plundered and opportunity is dead; the only path many have left to get ahead is engaging in socially/destructive behavior.
Leading with an acknowledgement, and empathy towards the pain people feel, would probably get you more mileage in convincing maxis to not lose their own heads in criticizing him. Good luck.
