I didn’t have much cell service last week which allowed me to not consume very much social media.

I noticed I fell asleep so much easier at night. My brain was processing less, comparing less. I always knew mindlessly scrolling was bad for me, but I love having a direct experience on how my body responds positively without it.

The amount of information we intake everyday is so overwhelming and 99% of it is trash. And your brain and body have to process it all somehow.

Isn't it remarkable? When I first went off the legacy social medias I was astounded by how much calmer I felt.

It’s also about blue screen light.

Reducing and adding orange light after 20:00 helped me.

Its tricky because yes not looking at anything on our phones is much better for us physiologically and spirtually.

Yet there are still things happening in the world that are worth knowing about. I'm really working to hone my feeds to filter out as much noise as possible. Less and higher quality is the way.

And there are definitely seasons in life where we need to reconnect with nature and life away from technology.

Finding that balance is the key IMO
