nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 do I REALLY have to close my channels to migrate my embedded zeus wallet to another phone?
Isn't it enough to kill the app or uninstall it before restoring?
Also will my tx history be preserved?

I have an issue in that my old wallet has coins in bc1p addresses and the new one is using bc1q and can't see the coins.
Is this expected?
You can generate both Segwit and Taproot addresses in ZEUS. Just hit the gear in the top right corner on the Receive view.
As mentioned in the backup and recovery docs, ZEUS must be left open after recovery to complete a rescan of old addresses. Closing the app before completion kills the process.
Alternatively you can generate those Taproot addresses manually then trigger a rescan under Embedded Node settings
I cleared all data and set it up again. I then went to sleep. It still shows 0 balance while my old wallet shows my correct balance.
I also double checked the seed words.
FYI, I'm not panicking or anything, just documenting in the hopes of helping to squash a bug.
New wallet is v0.8.2, don't have the old one to hand right now.
All funds are from channel closes if that helps btw.
