I’m glad you reserve the right to change your mind.

Imagine looking at Michelangelo’s Sistine chapel ceiling and thinking, that spontaneous creation is incredible! Then expand that to the entire universe and thinking that the complexity and beauty evolved from nothing and was not designed.

That is not 1st principles, makes zero sense, and has no biological, physics, or mathematical backing. The current natural order of the universe is chaos and decay post intelligent design.

I like the first part of your argument even though i disagree. It seemed we're playing with different definitions of if a god or what god is.

This is the danger with organized religious thought, no clear agreed upon definitions because it not about understanding it is simply another tool used by those who wish to control.

Some very interesting conversations could be had trying to define god, gods or a god like process/systems/fields.

I see only very destructive outcomes from the current modern use and definition of god by all organized religions. As they prey upon our vulnerabilities and amplify the worst aspects of our species.

Your last sentence is incorrect.

Yes the universe began in a state of maximum order/minimal entropy and inevitably increases entropy with time, but there can be no act of creation that does not continue this process. We can create small pockets of entropy minimized zones, but we are externalising the cost into other regions. Intelligent design can not reduce entropy. (I hate this fact)

Knowing the battle is impossible but choosing to fight it anyway, could be a good definition for humanity.

I appreciate the conversation. I agree that organized religion can be dangerous.

After all, there are many out there that I disagree with, and I am part of one with many aspects/sects that I disagree with.

Christian’s are the church, and the church is not a building/religion but its members. In this way Christianity is decentralized, unlike other religions. We are called to follow him and seek after him living in love, grace, faith, and hope. Many fall short but this is the best life that can be lived—and the opposite of dangerous. (Unless we define who it is dangerous for) Dangerous for the devil and his work on earth? Yes. Dangerous for living in harmony with others? No
