It sure would be great if the code for nostr nests mods were released to build on.

But if not, no harm in starting efforts on an alternative.

nostr:npub12262qa4uhw7u8gdwlgmntqtv7aye8vdcmvszkqwgs0zchel6mz7s6cgrkj idk how it works is it not easy with what semi is giving ? Is that why nobody wants to work on it ?

currently nobody can work on existing nests other than semisol as he hasnt released the mods.

people are free to restart and build on jam systems.

or they can work on the closed source nostr nests rewrite with semisol's permission

The rewrite isn't closed source. It's available for the world to work on and open. In fact a random contributor found it a couple of months ago and submitted code changes. They weren't even a Nostr user. Just a dev wishing to add accessibility features. You could easily do this too.

I would just start on a fresh build if I were you. It's been 8 months and I am unable to get Semi and to remove his indexer and verification code to open the current mods up to the world. The rewrite is the only thing that's open source along with my original roadmap.
