I’m going to add an actual per-pic “visibility" toggle (and address-level default preference) so we’re not relying on the presence of a description as the sole trigger for whether a pic is public or not.

Description will wind up being the alt text for the image, and caption will be what’s shown on the image page. I do feel pretty strongly about making sure that the pics that appear on the landing page all have alt text, so I do really want to encourage people to add a description when uploading, though it’s not required to perform the upload. Does that make sense? I’m open to feedback on any/all of this!

I noticed that nostr:npub1mmt2c7qgq404483t3fdd6njl9yhgw6hskn7rsypa7jmzy2s5450qluszvq's question said “to be used in other places (like a blog)” while you responded with “other parts of omg.lol.” Does that mean that if I needed somewhere to upload something like a picture to show on a site that's not part of omg.lol, I should not use some.pics?
I'm not a famous person so I don't expect it to be high traffic or anything. I'm curious because you said slightly different things!
