Y'all made Nostr into Le Bitcoiner Ghetto and now Bitcoin has gone mainstream and nobody cares about your stupid ghetto.

Ah, but the ghetto is not a place. It’s an attitude.
They literally hard-coded the attitude into the clients and relays, so that it's very difficult to have a discussion about any other topic, and newbies wander off in frustration. The attrition rate is astronomic. Even my old Wordpress mommy blog had better numbers.
You have to first spend a year,
replying daily to other people's Bitcoin memes and GMs,
to get enough followers,
to be seen by enough people,
to be able to talk about sports.
But,
after a year of talking about Bitcoin and saying GM and talking about talking about Bitcoin and talking about saying GM,
you lose your ability to talk about anything else.
So, you never get around to talking about sports.
And yet you’re still here talking, building, and lamenting the state of things.
What keeps you here?
The alternative vision provided by our own projects and the projects of some of my builder friends, who see the same problem.
Then I suppose, all is right in the world of nostr. As long as I can traverse between the visions of those who came first, second, third, and so on, then I see that all is right as it should be.
Thank you for providing the bridge, and the destination, for those of us who hold interests in all aspects of what it means to be human.
As for those who leave early, it’s not my job to put the work in for them. But if that is yours, I commend you for it.
