it's a complex topic, often times the value provided and value received are not in order for a lot of users here, and when they finally end up asking something, it gets blown out of proportion, and get labelled as ebeggers

It’s not that complex. Asking for handouts is not value for value. It is charity. There is a place for it but you quickly overstay your welcome and turn people off when you always “need” someone to give you monthly.

I’m still wondering if value for value scales.
Content services have found steady business models selling advertising for decades now, obviously if you’re here you understand selling ads makes you answerable to your advertisers aka don’t say this or we’ll pull our ads etc
Then subscriptions became a thing and we all know how anything that gets although it does solve the advertising problem
I am interested to see how value for value plays out - my opinion now is it seems more cut throat and creators may not feel comfortable without a steady stream of income they are used to
