We currently use Cloudflair’s CSAM scanner and we manually review content daily for anything it missed, and are working on adding an additional better CSAM scanner, PhotoDNA.
There are no exceptions, maybies, etc. even if they ‘could’ be 18, it is totally at our discretion and we will block and report!

But yes, yes a federal crime and you're protecting yourself. Again, I get that. But also, I was not informed and I do not consent. So, I opt to not use your service anymore and inform you that what your are doing is helping centralize the internet in a way that is antithetical to any notion of freedom.
I totally understand why you are doing what you are doing but still it's a huge issue. Watching CSAM is also punishable so you better won't check your servers for CSAM for the purpose of reporting it without legal advice neither. I think, CSAM or other illegal material is a high risk thing for nostr as you can all too easily end up downloading it and by that commit a felony. So if all the hosters filter using centralized filtering services, it's all centralized and if they don't filter, the end users all become culpable of crimes they never intended to commit.
