Recently many podcasts preaching for third custodial parties without mentioning risks, and addressing risks to self custody, like you well said, all with intellectual dishonesty.
OnRamp is one of them, their ad is the perfect example of what I am talking about.
Splitting your keys in other jurisdiction doesn't help them to get supina by any govt. Same thing as the Ledger custody option with multisig hold by different entities in different states. Lol.
These are the kind of people who are like, "oh yeah, holding your own keys in Bitcoin is too risky. Use *insert custodial service here* instead because it's safe."

I guess that's why I stopped listening to a lot of Bitcoin podcasts because they genuinely disgust me.

Also, a lot of them bounce around the same guests and the same exact speeches over and over. It's fine fo the newcomers, but yeah..we've heard of it all
Some technical podcasts are still relevant though...and most of them don't advertise for custodial services.
Bitcoin podcasts have fallen in a hole. It’s the same 50 people saying the same shit on rotation.
Guy and Saif are the only ones with occasionally interesting content.
The Path to Bitcoin is the only one I regularly listen to when new episodes drop.

You can’t listen to individual episodes though. It’s one anon’s journey down the rabbithole and he’s too deep to randomly join in now and understand where he’s coming from without background context.

Optech is pretty much the only one I to listen to regularly nowadays.
I appreciate the work Guy does, but he interrupts the flow of his podcasts with commercials too much for me to listen now a days. Bitcoin Audible is pretty much unbearable as it is now. I would happily pay for an ad free version though.
